Description

Kooskooskie Commons provides a meeting ground to connect cultures within the Inland and Pacific Northwest through the medium of storytelling, arts, education, commerce, and festive events that celebrate the ways Northwest residents inhabit the landscape. The grant supports a regional Farm Connections project to assist the conservation community in improving access to information needed to work on environmental issues related to farming, and a project targeted at local farming, environmental, and cultural organizations and businesses to restore salmon habitat and streamflows in the Walla Walla River. ($10,000 Rivers, Wetlands, Estuaries, and Marine Ecosystems; $30,000 sustainable Agriculture)
